At a ceremony held at the 143d Airlift Wing (AW) All Ranks Club, Quonset Air National Guard Base (ANGB), North Kingstown, Rhode Island (RI), Mr. Al Cerrone, civic leader and founding sponsor of the RI National Guard Open House and Air Show was asked to say a few words after being presented the Patrick Henry Award. The Patrick Henry Award is given to a civilian by the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS). It is designed to provide recognition to local officials and civic leaders, who in a position of great responsibility distinguished themselves with outstanding and exceptional service to the Armed Forces of the United States, the National Guard or NGAUS.
