Welcome Aboard! David Buckley, son of the late LtCol (ret) Buckley, joins the 143d Airlift Wing as a UPT candidate.
David Buckley, son of the late LtCol (ret) David Buckley, was sworn in as a UPT candidate here at Quonset ANGB, Saturday, 6 December 2008. David is following in his father's footsteps. LtCol Buckley, who flew with the 143d Airlift Wing for many years, passed away earlier this year. He would be very proud of his son's decision to join the 143d Operations Group. David is pictured with, from left to right, Col Ed Johnson, former C-130 Navigator, 143d Airlift Squadron (AS), LtCol Rick Hart, pilot, 143d AS, his mother Leslie Buckley, LtCol Arthur Floru, pilot, 143d Operations Support Flight Commander, and LtCol Gary Larson, pilot, 143d AS, all long time companions of David's father.
